Define and Align

Decide with confidence. Plan with clarity. Avoid costly mistakes.

Training and learning projects can easily spiral — scope grows, unexpected voices jump in, technology gets in the way, and suddenly what started as a simple idea becomes expensive, complicated, and stressful.

Define & Align stops that from happening.

It’s a structured, expert-led session designed to help you understand what your project really needs, what’s realistic, and how to move forward with a clear, well-defined plan.

This is how you avoid rework, wasted spend and endless revisions — and instead focus on solutions that deliver real business impact.

Define and Align is always included in my bespoke e-learning projects, as an essential foundation to a successful project. It can be an intensive experience, and whilst we’re all keen to get going, I can promise you that taking that ‘extra time’ upfront in preparation will pay dividends when it comes to achieving your ROI.

Your two pathway options

Some SMEs want to work through the discovery tool themselves.

Others want the expert support straight away.

Choose the option that works for you.

Option 1: Do It Yourself + Expert Review (£295)

(DIY Structured Discovery Tool + 2-hour review session + report)

Step 1: Work through the Structured Discovery Tool

  • A guided set of prompts that helps you uncover essential information about your team, learners, goals, risks, barriers and success measures.

Step 2: A focused 2-hour working session

  • We review your insights, challenge assumptions, refine ideas and align the direction.

Step 3: A detailed project report

  • You’ll receive a clear summary that can be used as:

    • The basis of a Statement of Work (SoW)

    • A brief for Jessanol

    • A brief for another provider

    • Or a solid internal plan

This is perfect if you want to:

  • Reduce uncertainty: Identify gaps early and prevent avoidable surprises later.

  • Minimise waste: Invest only in what’s needed, when it’s needed.

  • Save time: Avoid endless rework by getting the brief right the first time.

  • Stay adaptable: Make decisions that stand up to business changes

Option 2: Work through it together (£395)

(2-hour working session + 1-hour follow-up review + report)

If you don’t have time to complete the discovery tool, or you simply prefer to talk it through, this option gives you a live, expert-led process from start to finish.

Step 1 — 2-hour working session

We co-explore the vision, needs, constraints, risks and opportunities using the discovery tool as a guide.

Step 2 — 1-hour review session

After time to reflect and gather any missing details, we regroup to refine decisions, resolve uncertainties and finalise direction.

Step 3 — A structured project report

You’ll receive a practical, actionable document ready to guide next steps and support stakeholder engagement.

  • To skip the admin

  • Live expert support to challenge and shape decisions

  • A structured, facilitated process

  • A clear direction in less time

  • High confidence before committing budget or resources

Training projects fail not because of poor design — but because the wrong problem is being solved, or the right information wasn’t surfaced early enough.
