Let me tell you a story…

…not just about my work, but about a passion I’ve nurtured for over two decades.

I’m Jane, founder of Jessanol, a fractional L&D partner for small and medium businesses who want training that actually works in real life.

  • How I ended up here

I’ve spent over two decades in learning and development, from compliance and systems training to onboarding and performance support. Most of that time was inside organisations: blue-chip companies, global pharma, public sector and charities.

It wasn’t glamorous work, but it was important. I learned how to:

    • Turn dry content into something people actually want to use

    • Balance business demands, limited time and tight budgets

    • Design training that helps people do their jobs better, not just pass a quiz

  • From global teams to real-world learners

In a global pharma role, I led teams delivering learning to thousands of people worldwide, blending e-learning, job aids, local-language materials and workshops. That experience taught me that training only works when it fits:

    • Real-time pressures

    • Real tools and systems

    • Real people with competing priorities

Later, qualifying as a teacher and working with children reminded me of something adults often forget: learning works best when it’s clear, practical and a bit human.

  • Big-company expertise, SME realities

Small and medium businesses rarely have an in-house L&D team but they still have performance problems, onboarding challenges and training that isn’t quite doing the job.

Jessanol exists to bridge that gap. I offer:

    DIY / Self-Serve resources – templates, toolkits, micro-courses

With Support sessions – focused, practical consulting calls

Done-For-You solutions – full performance investigations, training design and build, and delivery support

All built around one question: What will actually make things better for your team?

  • Ways to work with me

    You might need:

✅ Help figuring out why something isn’t working (Performance & Clarity, Performance investigations)

✅ A clear plan for a training project (Define & Align, Training Design & Build)

✅ Someone to build or refresh training and keep it running (Done-For-You build, knowledge solutions, fractional L&D)

Wherever you start, the process is simple: we talk, we clarify what’s going on, and we choose the lightest-weight solution that will work.

  • Why “Jessanol”?

With a surname that’s frequently misspelt (Feilden – Danish roots, apparently), I needed a business name that was easier to remember.

Jessanol is named in honour of a much-loved dog who taught me a lot about loyalty, patience and the joy of a good walk after a long day at the laptop.

The Name.

My company is called Jessanol. With a surname frequently misspelt: Feilden- it has Danish origins, I needed an easier business name.

I took inspiration from a truly beloved dog and Jessanol arrived.
